YSARC VOLUNTEER EXAMINATION SESSIONS

The Yuba Sutter Amateur Radio Club conducts Amateur Radio License Examinations at the Cornerstone Free Evangelical ChurchWest Building” in Yuba City, CA approximately every other month on the odd numbered months.

Most exams in the schedule occur on the first Saturday of the month, except on holiday weekends. For the present schedule of exams, click here.

The West Building is a residence located at 715 King Avenue, Yuba City, CA, that is mid-block on the North side of King Ave. between Clark Ave. & Stafford Ave. just West of the Church parking lot.  Parking is available on the street, and within the church parking lot.

All examination sessions begin at 9:00AM. Pre-registration is preferred, but walk-ins are accepted from 9:00AM to 10:00AM. .

Registration at least two days before the Examination would be appreciated.
You will need:

  1. a Photo ID
  2. the original and a copy of your present license, if any
  3. the original and a copy of any CSCE's (Certificate of Successful Completion of an Examination from a previous examination), if any
  4. a completed FCC Form NCVEC QUICK-FORM 605 (Available from the above contact people)
  5. and the ARRL-set fee of $14.00 for registration.


Please be aware that a CSCE is good only for 365 days from the date of issuance.

ALSO, BE AWARE THAT IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE ORIGINAL AND COPY OF YOUR LICENSE AND/OR CSCE, YOUR UPGRADE WILL BE DELAYED A WEEK OR MORE!!

This requires the Adobe Acrobat Reader which is also available at no charge at the above site, if you don't already have it. The NCVEC QUICK-FORM 605 is different from the standard FCC Form 605. It is for use only at VE sessions. Don't send the Quick-form 605 to FCC, and don't use the standard Form 605 for a Volunteer Examination (VE) session.
